Description of Rehoboth Beach Police Department
We serve as the primary police department for the "Nation's Summer Capital"; a name given to Rehoboth Beach due to the number of visitors from our Nation's Capital and surrounding vicinities. Delaware is home to many of America's finest beaches and I am proud to announce that Rehoboth Beach is also a "Blue Wave" Beach. Since 1998, the Clean Beaches Council has aimed to identify the nation's cleanest, safest, and most environmentally well-managed beaches. In order to certify, beaches must meet the program's criteria in the following areas of responsible management; water quality, beach and inter tidal conditions, safety, services, habitat conservation, public information/education, and erosion management. On behalf of the men and women of the Rehoboth Beach Police Department, I invite you to take a few minutes of your time and visit the various units on our web site.
