Alden Lee is a catalog company based in Menlo Park, CA. We're a young company -- but one with a 30 year "history". Some musicians may remember a Palo Alto, CA based company called Early Music Stands. Richard Lee, harpsichord maker, and his wife, Anne Lee, furniture designer, founded Early Music Stands in the 1970's when they noticed an utter lack of proper music room furniture needed for Early Music performances locally. Alden Lee is also the creation of Richard and Anne Lee, now with 30 years of experience in perfecting the art and craft of music room furniture. It carries, therefore, the same spirit of intelligent design, thoughtful customer service, and joy in things musical that Early Music Stand customers may remember.
