For over 50 years, VTCI has provided a full range of telecommunications services to rural communities in South Texas. Telephone service boundaries have grown from a farmer's fence to a global telecommunications network. VTCI was first in the world to deliver DSL Broadband service to 100% of our subscribers, and also the first in South Texas to offer Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH). Currently, VTCI is participating in a beta trial for Digital TV service (or IPTV) using a "turn key" video offering provided by the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC). This beta trial will allow VTCI to thoroughly test the technical and market feasibility of transporting broadcast TV content via our new ADSL2+ and Fiber to the home (FTTH) networks.
