Artsplosure's mission is to produce high quality annual festivals that celebrate excellence in the performing and visual arts; to promote and bring recognition to national, regional, and local artists; and to bring artists and the larger community together to improve the quality of life and cultural environment. Artsplosure's vision is that all people will have access to a better quality of life and an enhanced cultural environment. Artsplosure programs -- First Night Raleigh, Artsplosure Spring Art Festival, and Arts Education and Outreach -- are premised on the following values: The arts are for everyone. Every person possesses the creative impulse and, in a supportive environment, he or she will act positively on that impulse. Unique, accessible, and centrally located venues will increase and diversify participation. Artsplosure festivals are celebratory, civic, and ritualistic.
