Established in 1999, CDS Manufacturing, Inc. (CDS) is a producer of Precast and Prestressed Concrete products. We have two casting yards in the Tallahassee, Florida area. The Quincy Casting Yard is housed in a 30,000-square-foot facility on 9 acres. The Midway Casting Yard is located on 38 acres and is conveniently onsite with Superior Redi-Mix (a FDOT approved concrete batch plant). We firmly believe our most important asset is our customer. This belief is reflected in the quality, timeliness, and flexibility of the products and services we offer. Specifically: When applicable, products are pre-assembled BEFORE shipment - this extra effort ensures ease of installation and allows CDS to identify and rectify obstacles installers may otherwise encounter in the field. We pride ourselves on consistently meeting or exceeding shipping deadlines - we respect the fact that many of our customers work under intense deadline pressure. In fact, special arrangements have even been made with high volume orders to assure "same-day" shipping. One of our strengths is our ability to work with customers and help "get them out of a jam" - in the construction business, logistics are critical, and often deadlines are jeopardized for a multitude of reasons. We have a proven track record of helping customers through difficult situations. We are always looking for ways to improve our products and service - we frequently evaluate new and innovative ways to manufacture our products and welcome customer ideas. We are committed to the future and reinvest wisely in capital improvements and employee training. CDS also offers the following: We maintain our own fleet of tractors and trailers. Our drivers are exclusive employees of CDS and are thus able to provide the timely, dependable and professional service our customers deserve. We use state-of-the-art vapor curing systems which enables us to cast, strip, and deliver to your job site most any order within a 72-96 hour time period. Furthermore, because our products are vapor cured, we achieve extremely high PSI strengths in a very short period of time. This allows us to guarantee the product will not crack or fail should they need to be erected in this 72-96 hour time period. We internally break concrete cylinders from each job on a Concrete Compression Testing Frame. This machine is also state-of-the-art with full digital and programmable capabilities. We perform testing procedures to verify compliance with concrete strength and performance. In addition to internal testing, we employ independent testing facilities to verify our testing results on a quarterly basis. As a customer of CDS, these results will be readily available to you. All products are cast in compliance with the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) standards as we are currently undergoing our certification process. The aesthetics of our products are leaders in the industry. We go to great lengths to minimize "bug holes", form stains, joint lines and other unsightly features. This effort allows the contractor/owner the alternative of leaving the product unfinished and exposed, thus saving the cost of painting or stucco. In an effort to uniformly match all surface finishes, screeted surfaces have a trowel finish and are subsequently touched-up with a concrete grinder or similar finishing tools. As mentioned above, CDS is currently in the process of completing our PCI plant certification. At this time, we have successfully completed our PCI Level III certification.
