Fabric Development, Inc. is a specialty textile manufacturer, experienced in the development and production of custom fabrics. We work closely with fiber producers, government agencies, aerospace and aircraft industries, transportation, marine and heavy industries, and the medical profession. Founded in 1972 by skilled textile engineers, our manufacturing unit is well equipped to design, develop and supply specialty woven, knit and braided materials to fulfill a broad range of customer needs. In 1991, to compliment the research and development activities, a state of the art facility was established to supply fabrics on a production basis. Our specially designed fabrics are used in many applications, ranging from Aerospace, Transportation, Communications, Marine, Industrial, Recreational and Medical. The technical staff at Fabric Development, Inc. consists of experienced textile engineers & craftsmen. Fabric Development, Inc. adheres to military & other customer specifications, as well as to our own quality standards. Our engineers understand the needs of customers and are able to provide recommendations in the selection of yarn, fabric construction and weave design for specific applications. We have considerable experience with all available yarns, including Carbon -Standard Modulus & High Modulus, Aramid -KevlarTM & TwaronTM, Ceramic -NextelTM & NicalonTM, VectranTM, PTFE -TeflonTM & Gore-TexTM, Fiberglass, NomexTM, SpectraTM, and Quartz. In addition to textile development, we manufacture production quantities of custom fabrics.
