Info
Harlan-Evans, Inc. is a twenty-two-year-old consulting firm with an emphasis on Leadership Development. We have designed, delivered and managed training projects for groups ranging in size from 6 to 30,000 people. Our client list of past and current clients includes many well-known companies including: Avon, General Motors, Northwest Airlines, Lucent Technologies, Amoco, Pepperidge Farms, Farm Credit Services, Peabody Coal, Kellogg, Microsoft and many others. We have delivered our programs both domestically and internationally. Over the years, Harlan-Evans has built a strong reputation for successful change initiatives. We believe that this is because we use an integrated approach using both intuition and analytical processes to help groups and individuals understand the root causes behind their actions. As a result, they are not only able to identify the obstacles to their progress, but are able to change their motivations to create a more productive outcome. What differentiates our training and consulting from other programs on the market is significant. Because we believe that human beings are capable of finding the solution to any problem, we teach them how to do so. What makes this unique is that most programs focus on solving a specific issue and offering a set of how to's. Instead, we teach the individual and the groups how to resolve all of the things which get in the way of them solving the problems for themselves. Many organizations spend significant dollars on training in diversity, supervisory and management skills, leadership and many other specifically designed programs to address specific problems. Our programs could be considered as addressing the origins of the problems rather than the specific issue. By teaching employees how to think about problems, the organization offers a more comprehensive approach to training at a fraction of the cost. Toni Lynn Chinoy (founder of Harlan-Evans, Inc.) started out as a math teacher. As a result of her early training and experience as a teacher, her approaches are both methodical and logical. When people learn to use LOGIC (instead of emotions) to identify the cause and effect relationship between events and outcomes, they are much more adept at improving their own performance as well as the performance of others. Toni has published a distinct body of intellectual properties including training materials, Leadership text books, and texts on the evolution of Leadership of women. Our self-paced Leadership development workbooks are highly effective for the dedicated individual, and our seminars, offered in-house or at a location of your choice, are facilitated by strong consultants who understand change both personally and from professional experience in major corporations.
