Fidelia was founded to address the problem of deploying multiple network and server management products in a large IT network, and trying to correlate the data with the impact on business services. Fidelia's founders came from Verio (acquired by NTT in 2000 for $6B). Building on their years of experience dealing with large networks and multiple NMS products, they architected NetVigil- a commercial software application that could scale to very large deployments and give users a way to see the relevance of their IT infrastructure on the delivery of service.
