Franklin County Medical center operates a 45 bed extended care facility for patients who no longer require acute hospital care, but cannot be cared for at home. All of our beds are licensed for skilled care. This facility is Medicare and Medicaid Certified. Staff includes MSW, Social Worker, and Activities Director, Pharmacist, Dietician, and RN's, LPN's and CNA's. Adult Day-Care and Respite Care services are also available. At FCMC., we understand the aging process and the special need of the geriatric population. We offer rehabilitative and restorative care under the direction of a physical therapist. We also offer "around the clock" skilled nursing care by licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants. We have a daily activity program which provides mental stimulation as well as socialization for the residents. Also available is a dietician to plan for any special dietary needs and who oversees our staff to provide delicious and nutritious meals and snacks. Our facility focuses on a home-like atmosphere where we can help each resident reach his or her highest level of physical, mental and psycho-social well being. Our Social Services Department assists with financial resources and also provides discharge planning for those residents wishing to return home again. Goals for each resident are to promote optimum health, dignity, self respect and appropriate activity to enhance their quality of life.
