Puckett EMS
Medical emergency service
Info
Puckett EMS, a family owned and operated business located in Powder Springs, Georgia, is the offspring of Puckett Ambulance Service, which was in operation from 1984-1996. Puckett Ambulance Service was known for providing a high quality, cost effective service to the communities it served. In 1996, Puckett Ambulance was sold to Medtrans Corporation. The founder of Puckett Ambulance, Steven K. Puckett, said," After I sold, I never thought I would ever work on an ambulance again, but this business is something that grows on you and will always be a part of my life." In March of 2001, after a five year non-compete provision had expired, Steve decided to dust off the old uniform and come back to what he loved, EMS. This time, Steve formed a partnership with Shane Garrison, a friend, colleague, and previous Director of Operations for Puckett Ambulance. Puckett EMS was incorporated on March 12, 2001. Two months after incorporation, Puckett EMS was awarded the 911 contract for Southwest Cobb County, the same zone that Puckett Ambulance had previously served. " My plan was to start with one or two ambulances, like I had before, and slowly grow the business. That plan was set aside when we were awarded the 911 zone.," said Steve. "Our biggest hurdle over the years has been containing our explosive growth. I'm of the belief that bigger is not better, just bigger. I would much rather provide a high quality service to a few customers rather than a low quality service to a lot of customers." With the support of the community, family and friends, Puckett EMS has quickly grown to a nine ambulance operation specializing in Emergency and Critical Care transports. Our slogan," Caring, Commitment, Community" is what we are about.
