On November 19 Lindab and Autodesk signed a letter of intent in regards to fulfill Nordic customer requirements within IT-based Building Design and Management mainly focused on the Autodesk Building Systems (ABS) Vertical (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning). Autodesk, founded 1982, is the world leading developer and supplier of software solutions for the total building Industry segment - Ranging from Building Concept to maintenance. Lindab, with their know-how in Ventilation and their calculation application, will help us make Autodesk Building System an outstanding design tool for the Nordic market", says Thomas Juntti, Area Sales Director, Autodesk AB. "This co-operation will amount to new possibilities for the designer to utilize digital data through the entire project, from drafting to actual construction. This, in combination with continuous improvements of calculations and possibilities for information exchange will give our users both increased productivity and further accuracy in their design. This long term co-operation has the HVAC designers as main focus, and will bring new possibilities and technologies to support and help many new users in their daily design. ITline is Lindab's software concept aiming to support and facilitate the tasks for the HVAC engineer. The goal is to increase HVAC system quality, shorten project lead times by e.g. automatic pricing, piece marking and automatic insertion of duct couplings, and enable system optimisation. The ITline package consists of software solutions for each of Lindab's product areas: Air Duct System - CADvent, DIMhood, Indoor Climate Air - DIMcomfort, Indoor Climate Water - TeknoSim, Indoor Climate Acoustics - DIMsilencer. It also includes a project management system - LinPro. The concept is distributed in 25 markets, and includes training, support and technical advice of product selection and calculations.
