Why the highest quality paint might not be the best for your home. For those of you who like to use the very best paints, make sure it's the very best paint for your particular job.  I've used Sherwin Williams Duration since it came on the market in Oregon, (more than 10 years now), and I've been impressed with the results.  That said, Duration should not be applied to every home. For newer homes where the pre-existing paint is in good shape, Duration will work like a charm. For new homes, Duration is amazing.  For newer homes where the pre-existing paint is in good shape, Duration will work like a charm.  However, if you have an older home or a home where the paint is clearly showing signs of failure; BEWARE!  I've seen many folks, both professionals and D.I.Y.'ers, apply Duration after scraping & sanding the problem areas where the paint has either bubbled, blistered, flaked, cracked, etc., and the results are disastrous.  They spend all of that money on $50-$60/gallon paint,
