KDA Research is a service company - which means that our clients are really buying our people. It's what Harry Beckwith called "Selling The Invisible" in his book of the same name. We spend a lot of our time being the vendor or supplier for our clients. But there are also times when we need to something done that is not in our range of expertise and we become clients ourselves. Currently we are looking for vendors for a internal project and I am surprised by how hard some service companies make it to get the information I need from them. In this past week, I've encountered web sites that are pretty but don't give me any sense of who I am dealing with or what their background is. I've had emails go unreturned. And I've had mysterious gaps in communications from a potential vendor. These events have made me even more aware of how important it is to use every contact point as an opportunity to establish our responsiveness, reliability, professionalism and, of course, our expertise. And that's we strive to do. From designing our web site so that it quickly and easily gives you the information you need to understand what we have to offer, to returning calls and emails promptly and professionally, we strive to make it easy for you to see what we have to offer. And then, should you decide to go with us, we continue to deliver every step of the way, from initial proposal to final report.
