Blount International, Inc. (Blount) is an international industrial company with one business segment: Outdoor Products. The Outdoor Products Segment manufactures and markets cutting chain, guide bars, sprockets and accessories for chainsaw use, concrete-cutting equipment and accessories and lawnmower blades. The Company also owns and operates a manufacturer of gear-related products. On November 5, 2007, Blount sold the Forestry Division, which constituted the Industrial and Power Equipment segment, to Caterpillar Forest Products Inc., a subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc. (Caterpillar). The Company has manufacturing operations in the United States, Canada, Brazil and the People's Republic of China. In May 2008, the Company announced the acquisition of Carlton Holdings, Inc.
