Platinum Grove Asset Management, L.P. (PGAM) manages dynamic multiple-strategy relative-value investment vehicles. Our returns are generated by investing in core fixed-income strategies complemented by equity and currency strategies. We intermediate identifiable supply and demand imbalances and hedge risks (such as the risks associated with changes in interest rates in particular markets) that are exogenous to the intermediation of these imbalances. That is, the implementation of our strategies focuses on generating net returns that are uncorrelated with returns to general market indices. We rely upon sophisticated and proprietary quantitative modeling augmented by qualitative research, on a global basis. We have a large investment in technology and in our employees. PGAM (formerly known as Oak Hill Platinum Partners) was founded in October 1999. In August 2006, we changed our name to reflect a restructuring of the management company that was transparent to our investors. Our operations remain the same.
