Travis Barlow began his insurance career in 1971 and opened Travis Barlow Insurance in 1977 to provide general insurance products. With insight and recognition of the needs of the towing and recovery industry, Travis Barlow Company began offering towing insurance in 1983. Today, Travis Barlow Company continues to be a family owned and operated independent insurance agency that provides specialized insurance solutions for the towing and recovery industry. The two-person agency that began with Travis and Debra Barlow has grown to be the largest and most experienced retail provider in the country for this class of insurance. We are recognized throughout the industry for our commitment, experience and knowledge. Our highly qualified and experienced staff is dedicated to delivering unsurpassed service and quality insurance solutions. Each member of our team has years of experience in their respective fields and most of the staff are fully licensed in Property and Casualty and must meet annual state required continuing education. In addition to extensive in-house training, staff members regularly attend towing schools, DOT seminars and participate in various training programs related to the towing and recovery industry. Prior to assisting customers, all agents are required to participate in a full week of on-the-job training at a local towing facility. We are constantly evolving and growing to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers and the towing and recovery industry. While based upon old-fashioned personalized service, our team of experienced and knowledgeable professionals utilizes the newest and most advanced technology and automation available in order to enhance service and improve communication. Our company and its founder, Travis Barlow, have worked tirelessly to improve the industry to which we are dedicated. We have been members of nine state associations and helped found the South Carolina Towing Association. We have given more than 250 free seminars to improve knowledge of DOT regulations and new safety techniques to thousands of towing companies all over the country. We have worked closely with the Wreck Master Towing Program to help improve safety and professionalism within the industry and we have authored numerous articles for various industry publications.
