A donation to Armada Foundation, Inc. offers you significant advantages. While your gift gives you the benefit of an immediate tax savings at 100 percent of appraised value, it also creates tangible benefits for our recipient organizations. A gift to our Foundation is a legitimate alternative to what may otherwise be a disappointing return on the sale of your vessel. Since your property is valued in excess of $5,000. we will obtain a qualified surveyor for donation purposes. The (survey) appraisal must occur within six months of the donation date in order to assure the "fair market value" of your gift. In addition, you must have owned the property you are donating for more than one year. Once we have determined that your gift is appropriate for our program's needs, we will send a Deed of Gift and the IRS Form 8283 for the surveyor to complete. You will be able to use Form 8283 with your tax return. Armada Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to enriching the lives of less fortunate people who have to face the challenges of hunger and homelessness. Many households don't have adequate resources to provide nutritious food and medicine for their families. Armada Foundation provides many tons of food and household grocery products to serve the needy. Our food distribution benefits the poor, elderly, sick, unemployed, and those recovering from substance abuse or seeking emergency food. Working with many agencies such as: Broward Outreach Center, Broward Coalition for the Homeless, Pastor Simon Williams, the Kiwanis Project for Homeless Children, Light House Missions, Calvary Chapel, Daily Bread Food Bank, Sisters of Saint Anne, Saint Isidore Medical Mission, Dr. Edmund Ellis, Community Church of God in Bimini and others, we provide leadership in the fight to feed the hungry and end homelessness.
