ColorTyme, Inc. began as a distribution company for Curtis Mathes televisions in the late 1970s. The company was founded by Mr. Willie Talley and was headquartered in Athens, Texas. Shortly after it began operations, it became apparent that consumers wanted and needed alternative means of acquiring ColorTyme products. Mr. Talley selected Renting-to-Own because he believed it offered the customer the simplest, most flexible method of acquiring the products they desired. Today ColorTyme, Inc. is headquartered in Plano, Texas. We are actively adding new stores monthly.
