Lerner Sports Marketing is a New York State based corporation that specializes arranging appearances for current and retired professional athletes. For current professional athletes in baseball, basketball, football, hockey, and other sports, we work directly with the agent that represents the players for contract negotiations with their teams. The agents are very happy to work with us because we help find the players they represent additional opportunities to earn income and keep busy both before and after their season. Over the years we have developed many strong relationships with agents representing athletes in all sports. With retired professional athletes we work directly with the athletes in most cases to contact them and let them know of possible opportunities for them to participate in events that will earn them income. For both current and retired athletes we arrange the following types of appearances: fundraising events, which include golf outings run by charitable organizations to raise money for their charities, banquet dinners for charities and hospitals to raise funds needed for their organizations, sports auctions where we help the charity accumulate sports memorabilia for their auction or we actually come into their place and bring sports memorabilia to auction off for the purpose of them raising funds. In addition there are other types of assorted fundraising events we are asked to do such as conduct fundraising baseball clinics, fundraising breakfasts, fundraising sports day events where a portion of the proceeds goes to charity in these events. We also do many promotions for corporations and stores. Among these are corporate dinners, corporate golf outings, grand openings for new store locations as well as store promotions for old locations, trade shows where we may be asked to supply athletes either for the trade show promoter to draw crowds to the specific trade show event or for a particular exhibitor at a trade show who wishes to draw large crowds of people to his exhibit booth. Lerner Sports Marketing also is very much involved in arranging athlete appearance for camps. Camps continually contact us to see if we have athletes available to appear at their camps for a period of time on a given day. We will then contact the agents representing these players to check their availability and interest then negotiate a fair price for the athlete and the camp and arrange the appearance. At the camp appearance by the athlete the athlete will conduct a sports clinic for part of the time, take pictures with the campers, and sign autographs for the campers. Lerner Sports Marketing also arranges professional athlete appearances for parties, celebrations, and Bar Mitzvahs. Some of the parties may be personal parties such as a birthday party or a retirement party, while others are corporate parties that are held for one reason or another. In either case Lerner Sports Marketing contacts the athlete or the agent for the athlete, negotiates a fair price, and handles the contract for the event to happen.
