Paige Insurance Agency is considered one of the oldest independent insurance agencies in New Hampshire with ownership dating back to 1870. Historical records indicate that S.J. Kelly received an appointment from N.H. Fire Insurance Company on April 1, 1870 in Pittsfield. Several local families have maintained ownership since that period with the Paige family controlling the business from 1924 when the agency was known as Harriman, Freese and Paige. Upon the retirement of third generation owner Gilbert Paige in 1986, Scott R. Brown purchased the agency and has overseen the modernization of the agency to the insurance standards of today.
