Rothman Gordon was founded in 1954 by Benjamin Rothman, Meyer Gordon and Herman Foreman. The firm initially offered advice and counsel in the general practice of law and quickly established itself in Pittsburgh. With the addition of Norman Groudine, who joined the firm in the late 1960's, the firm's practice became more diverse in scope. During the next thirty years, through the addition of new attorneys and a series of mergers with smaller firms, Rothman Gordon Foreman & Groudine flourished, increasing its capabilities in complex litigation, corporate, commercial, and real estate development law. In 2001, the firm officially changed its name to Rothman Gordon, P.C. and it continues to deliver a broad range of services to corporations, institutions and individuals. To a large measure, the firm's longevity and success is directly tied to its own brand of law firm culture, which focuses on the pragmatic achievement of its clients' goals. We still maintain that listening to our clients and understanding their concerns enable us to better counsel and advise them. Our goal is not to be the largest firm, nor the most well-known - we believe we are just right as a mid-sized firm that our clients can turn to whenever they need practical and reasonably priced advice and service.
