Sb1 Federal Credit Union was originally founded in 1977 by employees of the SmithKline Corporation. Unsatisfied with the banking services available to them at the time, our founders chartered a new kind of institution with the goal of finding a better way to serve their own needs and the needs of their coworkers. Over the past three decades Sb1 has evolved into a full-service, member-oriented financial institution servicing dozens of primarily science-based companies across the country.
