La Salle's "Entrepreneurship and High Technology Business" course is specifically designed to teach entrepreneurship from the technologists' perspective; The three-year-old chapter of Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) promotes entrepreneurship through special outreach and community education programs. The first recipient of the Tech-Invest entrepreneurship challenge grant program is slated to be announced in early summer 2003. La Salle University is a comprehensive, coeducational university established in 1863 by the Christian Brothers, a Roman Catholic teaching order. Today, the university educates approximately 5,500 undergraduate and graduate students in nearly 60 academic disciplines at its four campuses in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties.
