Japan Technology Group, Inc. (JTG) is a technology-based intellectual property transfer company, serving as a link between non-Japanese companies and untapped promising Japanese innovations, as well as between Japanese companies and Western innovations. Our mission is to promote, foster and add value to trans-Pacific technology and intellectual property transfers, especially between Japan and North America. Our approach focuses on building international partnerships between business cultures and research universities. In order to efficiently facilitate this process, JTG first obtains technology needs information from companies (i.e. U.S. pharmaceuticals) seeking to in-license untapped Japanese innovations emerging from Japanese universities, university spin-off and venture companies, as well as public and private research organizations. JTG, then, searches and identifies technologies that match the companies' needs. Similarly, we represent Japanese companies searching untapped innovations developed within Western universities, university spin-off and venture companies, as well as public/private research centers. Our management team has unparalleled expertise and experience in fostering technology and intellectual property transfer between North American and Japan. JTG and its affiliates, including the Tokyo-based intellectual property law firm of Keisen Associates in Philadelphia, also a one-stop solution for the strategic management of intellectual property rights in Japan, helping companies and universities worldwide acquire and protect patents in Japan. JTG is strategically headquartered at the University City Science Center adjacent to the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia since 2003, and it has excellent access to local groups of scientists, venture and startup companies, pharmaceutical companies, university TLOs and various investors. Our location also enables us to conveniently access such organizations in other major cities on the East Coast such as New York and Washington D.C. In Japan, JTG currently has two offices in Tokyo and Kyoto.
