Heffler, Radetich & Saitta LLP (HR&S) is a Certified Public Accounting firm founded in 1941. We employ approximately 75 full-time professionals, including partners. We specialize in financial accounting and auditing; tax return preparation, compliance and planning; health care including third-party reimbursement, cost report preparation, reviews and appeals; investigative accounting; performance audits; compliance audits; and administration of class action lawsuits. Our staff performs annual financial audits for clients that range in size from large corporations to small businesses. Each engagement requires the issuance of a professional opinion. In addition, we perform consulting services for many of these clients. Tax services offered by HR&S are provided to a wide range of individual, corporate and partnership clientele. Services include Federal, State and local income, payroll, estate, fiduciary and other related tax preparation, tax planning to reduce tax liability to the legal minimum, tax consultations, analysis of various transactions and their tax implications, representation in Federal, State and local tax audits and other various tax related matters. Our firm is currently under contract with numerous governmental fiscal intermediaries for which we perform Medicare audits of Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Home Health Agencies, Home Offices, Health Maintenance Organizations, Group Practice Prepayment Plans, Rehabilitation Centers and CORFs. These audits verify costs filed with the Federal Government for payment under the Medicare program. All of these audits are performed on site, which requires travel throughout the country. We also provide cost report preparation, review and appeals for Hospitals, Home Health Agencies, Nursing Homes and Home Offices throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and many other states throughout the country, as well as financial audits and feasibility reviews. Courts throughout the country have called upon us to perform special investigations and as a result, on many occasions, we have been required to testify as expert witnesses. Our work has received high praise from Courts throughout the country. In addition, our firm specializes in the administration of class action Settlements. Since 1960, we have been engaged in over 500 matters. As part of our procedures in administering a class action settlement, we are responsible to mail notices to potential class members, receive and review claims filed by individuals, businesses and other entities, and to audit such claims to determine the extent of damages that have occurred. We also process settlement checks under the Court's direction.
