You can have all the features in this size as you can in the full shell without sacrificing cost or performance.
Completely in the Canal or CIC
This style is completely discreet, takes a very small battery and can fit a variety or hearing losses. Advantages are size, usually no trouble on phone, minimum wind noise. Disadvantages are short battery life, no telecoil, no Bluetooth functions.
Invisible,or the Lyric
This is the newest one. It came out on the market around 6 months ago or later. It sits about 3-6mm from the ear drum. It costs about $1500 per year and is like a lease. It is waterproof to some extent and the battery's last for months. It doesn't quite fit all hearing losses and feels a little weird as it is placed deep into the ear canal.
