989 Ga Highway 262 N, 31779 PelhamCNS is comprised of syrupcity.net, which provides high-speed Internet access, and CNS television, which provides cable television services. Through the state-of-the-art fiber optic network established in Cairo, the City is able to use CNS services to market the area to new residents and businesses, increasing the quality of life in the community. According to City Manager Robert Hopkins, the Broadband Network is fast becoming a vital city service and a major ingredient in Cairo's economic development efforts. CNS Cairo is proud to announce Ralphine Glenn and her daughter, Ja-Reese Miller, as the 1,000th CNS customers. The ongoing increase in the CNS customer base has not only benefited the community but the City as well. According to Hopkins, "We are delighted at the way the community has supported CNS by becoming customers and giving us a vote of confidence in this new service. Currently, the City of Cairo is averaging at least 40 new customers a week. Cairo became involved in CNS through its participation in the South Georgia Governmental Services Authority. Comprised of the cities of Cairo, Camilla, Moultrie, and Thomasville, the intent of this joint-action authority is to capitalize on opportunities to reduce costs and generate profits through the consolidation of services and the joint funding of projects. CNS is one of these joint authority projects. The four authority cities are working together to make CNS a successful venture for each participating city. Thomasville was first to launch CNS services. Cairo, Camilla, and Moultrie have each launched services within the last year, with each City experiencing growing success.
