THE LODGE at Simpsonwood is an adult and family retreat center of the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church for the purpose of offering a site for conferences and retreats for Judeo-Christian worship, study, music, recreation, fellowship and mission. We gladly welcome secular and non-profit service groups who offer wholesome, educational conferences and programs. A hospitality ministry of the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church, Simpsonwood is a beautiful wooded property nestled along the banks of the Chattahoochee River. Simpsonwood offers meeting space and meals to serve up to 350 people as well as 168 overnight rooms and 10 campsites. Designed to harmonize with the nature, all facilities on our attractive campus are within easy walking distance of each other. Simpsonwood offers recreation for mind and body. Enjoy quiet walks along 3 miles of trails through woods and beside the Chattahoochee River on the Ellen Van Cantford walking trails. Or take advantage of our outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, volleyball and basketball courts, athletic field, and the facilities of the nearby Robert D. Fowler Family YMCA. The Elizabeth Jane Sanders Simpson Chapel, an "English Style" field chapel chapel seats up to 100 people and is perfect for weddings and other religious services.
