Tundra Media is an award winning production studio specializing in animation and visual effects for broadcast. We have been fortunate to work with leading industry professionals and clients who have supported our vision and creative expertise. Over the few short years since the company was formed, we have received several awards including a 2004 Emmy nomination. History: Tundra Media was initially conceived in the late 1980's as a research and development project of Motor Racing Management, Inc. (MRM.) Brian Couzens, Vice President of Operations for MRM was exploring the utilization of computer animation in automobile race track design, marketing and forensic reconstruction. Although the program was prohibitively expensive at the time, technology changes allowed Brian to resurrect the project in 1999 to form Tundra Media. Corporate Philosophy: As with other animation/ production companies, we don't take life too seriously, but we take our work seriously. We strive to provide an enjoyable and creative environment for both our staff and our clients. Our Name: Tundra Media is actually one of two trade names registered to BC Safety & Design, Inc. While most people assume that we are based in either Alaska or Canada, our name comes from the high alpine environment that thrives above timberline in the rocky mountain region of Colorado.
