Founded in 1969 for working adults, Governors State University currently serves approximately 6,000 students. An upper-division university located in University Park, Illinois, GSU offers undergraduate courses at the junior and senior level leading to completion of a baccalaureate degree and graduate level courses leading to a master's degree.
