The Zamboni Company has maintained a Canadian operation since 1967. Brantford, Ontario, is the home of "The Greatest Hockey Player Of All Time," Wayne Gretzky, as well as the Canadian home of the "Coolest Machine On Ice," the Zamboni ice resurfacer. The Canadian facility houses 48,000 square feet of Zamboni manufacturing and the plant is busy year-round. The models produced in Brantford include the Model 520, Model 440, Model 200 and the Zamboni Power Edger. The Canadian Home of Zamboni allows the Company to maintain a strong presence in the country that invented the game of hockey, and continues to be the largest market for ice resurfacers in the world. Canada's "national sport" of hockey is enjoyed throughout the country, which boasts thousands of ice rinks. Zamboni has become the standard of excellence for municipal rinks and NHL arenas alike. In 1999, two new Zamboni resurfacers proudly became a part of the new home of the Toronto Maple Leafs, continuing the Zamboni legacy.
