Info
WebV2, Inc. is an enterprise software company that develops and markets breakthrough business process orchestration software that enables organizations to build dynamic process networks across autonomous mobile users, departments, divisions, enterprises, and complete value chains. The solution is easily installed, non-invasive and uses a modern, standards-based, service-oriented IT architecture. Companies are gaining competitive advantage through business process engineering and orchestration across IT systems and human users. They are orchestrating processes to improve real time responsiveness, business agility, and operational efficiency. With ever changing business conditions, including new partners, systems and users, these core business processes are dynamic. Current solutions are server-centric, inflexible, and not capable of building these dynamic processes across autonomous systems and mobile users either within a company or across a value chain. Even with advances in Service Oriented Architectures and Enterprise Service Buses, these systems remain costly to deploy and maintain, and are insufficient to build the necessary "process networks" required to maximize value across autonomous systems and users. With the improved capabilities of today's mobile devices it is now possible and desirable to fully integrate the mobile user within customer relationship management, marketing, sales, field service, and supply chain processes. Competitive pressure dictates immediate response to business opportunities. The trends of decentralization, outsourcing, and third-party dependencies only accentuate the challenges of building business agility across distributed organizations. WebV2's distributed approach to business process orchestration makes mobile process participation delivers a more powerful, richer and productive experience. The WebV2 solution enables organizations with mobilized workforces to deploy ROI producing processes and applications across these users. Through these applications, WebV2 delivers enterprise ROI and economic value by improving operational productivity at significantly lower initial and on-going deployment costs than alternative approaches. WebV2 was founded in June 2000. The company's cofounders developed the core WebV2 technology over a ten-year period at Siemens AG. The software platforms and intellectual property were purchased from Siemens in a spinout that created the company. While at Siemens, the core technology became the basis for the FIPA (www.fipa.org) international standards on heterogeneous and interacting agents, with over sixty major participating organizations and numerous applications of the technology amongst these organizations. Siemens AG holds a major equity interest in WebV2, has deployed WebV2's product, and the companies enjoy a strategic partnership.
