Creative Interchange Institute, Inc. (CII) , is a consulting and research firm specializing in organizational change, development, and renewal. Our work is on the people side of change efforts. We help clients recognize the distinctions--and interdependencies--between the technical aspects of a change, and the critical issues of human transition. These transition issues must be addressed when sustainability of improvement in quality or performance is a core change objective. What's in a name? Our name reflects our commitment to bringing Creative Interchange principles and practices to client engagements. For over thirty years, these principles and practices have been identified as the 'heart and soul of managing organizational change'. Without the synergistic environment of Creative Interchange , leaders and change agents often lack access to important information needed to effectively plan and manage change. Conversely, those impacted by change miss the information--and support--needed to help them move beyond resistance and build commitment. These deficits on either side of the change process equation can drive less than optimal outcomes, or even outright failure. Founded in 1997 by Carol Lischalk, CII continues to be driven by its founder and supported by strategic partners who bring strength in one or all of the primary change methods we use.
