Opened in 1990, Marine Underwriters, Inc. is a commercial marine insurance agency located in Oviedo, Florida, 15 miles northeast of downtown Orlando. The agency specializes in risk analysis and placing insurance coverage on ocean going watercraft such as tugs, barges, fishing vessels, charter/sightseeing vessels, freighters and research vessels. In addition to placing coverage on vessels, the agency also handles insurance placement on ocean/air cargo shipments, pollution incidents and container yards/terminals.
