The CAST organization is focused on providing fishermen more opportunities to compete and welcomes teams of all skill levels seeking to showcase their talents while causing minimal impact to fisheries by releasing all tournament fish back into the event lake. Tournament entry fees are $150 per team for 2004 events. Qualifying events have a minimum guaranteed payout of $1,000 for first, $350 for second and $150 for third plus the Garmin Big Crappie Award worth a Garmin FishFinder 240 plus cash bonus. Payouts increase with participation and 1 in every 5 teams receive a check. The next stop on the 2004 Crappie Angler Sportsman Tour is May 8, 2004 at Lake Rathbun in Iowa.
