Pathfinder Bancorp, Inc. is a federally chartered mid-tier holding company headquartered in Oswego, New York. The primary business of the Company is its investment in Pathfinder Bank (the Bank). The Company is majority owned by Pathfinder Bancorp, M.H.C., a federally-chartered mutual holding company (the Mutual Holding Company). The Bank is primarily engaged in the business of attracting deposits from the general public in the Bank's market area, and investing such deposits, together with other sources of funds, in loans secured by one- to four-family residential real estate and commercial real estate. As of December 31, 2008, $190.4 million, or 76% of the Bank's total loan portfolio consisted of loans secured by real estate, of which $135.3 million, or 71%, were loans secured by one-to four-family residences and $55.1 million, or 29%, were secured by commercial real estate.(Source: 10-K)
