The company was founded in 1998 by means of a merger between Bull Bros. Inc., Clark's Petroleum and Glider Oil Company. These three companies have a long history in central New York: Bull Bros. was founded in 1959, Clark's Petroleum in 1923 and Glider Oil in the 1940's.
