At the Newman Center, students are provided opportunities to learn more about their faith in courses, presentations and faith sharing groups. Students participate in the leadership of the church community through liturgical ministries, the Newman Council Student Advisory Board, and program leadership. The Newman Center promotes student involvement in the local and global community by offering service and social justice learning opportunities. As the Catholic Church serving the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh community, the Newman Center participates in the mission of the Diocese of Green Bay:The Catholic community of the Diocese of Green Bay, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and in unity with the universal Church, boldly proclaims the Gospel of Jesus, prayerfully worships in word and sacrament, and compassionately serves those in need, in order to advance God's Kingdom of justice and love.
