Emergency support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. DHS uses a technical support software product that our staff utilizes to track requests for support and for enhancements. Each support call is logged into the system. The information logged includes the customer, the date and time of the request for service, the date and time of our response, the nature of customer inquiry and our response. Each day the manager of the technical support division reviews the log to ensure we have no pending items and to ensure the proper response was given to each customer. In addition, any suggestions for program enhancements are logged into the system. Each week we have a meeting of key individuals and review these requests and decide which requests should be scheduled as part of our ongoing development plan. Each approved enhancement is assigned a priority, assigned a programmer and given a projected completion date. The progress on each enhancement is monitored in the system and the customer is updated on the status of the request.
