Corr Wireless was originally founded in 1933 as Oneonta Telephone Company (OTELCO) by R.C. Corr, Sr. The wireless division, formerly known as North Alabama Cellular was the first digital cellular system in Alabama. The name was changed to Corr Wireless to reflect the tremendous growth the company has experienced under the leadership of his grandson Bryan A. Corr, President & CEO since 1990. Corr Wireless is licensed by the FCC to provide wireless services to just under 2 million POPs in Alabama and Tennessee.
