In our twenty-year history, Youth Care, Inc. has provided a quality residential training program for more than 80 youth and young adults with developmental disabilities. The level of mental retardation of these residents has varied widely, from mild to severe. Generally, we serve youth with mild to moderate mental retardation. The vision of the Youth Care program is one of healing, learning, growth and independence. At Youth Care, we work with our special young people to help them cultivate the strength to move beyond their disabilities and negative life experiences. We provide an environment where they can be safe, grow and learn life skills. Our mission is to provide them with the tools they need to become independent and productive members of the community. Youth Care residents are continually encouraged to pursue their goals, live to their fullest potential and realize their dreams. The specialized training program and family-style living of Youth Care staff set it apart as a premier residential care provider for developmentally disabled youth.
