Info

We commit our resources to help you reach your family`s investment goals. We are objective driven. We invest your capital as carefully as if it were our own, in consultation with you, and using a written investment plan. We believe the primary component of investment return is market return, but the primary component of investor return is investor behavior. We work with you in partnership, merging the unique perspectives of client and advisor into a comprehensive and personal investment plan. Who are your clients? Our clients range across a wide spectrum of ages and net worth, since it is not uncommon for us to work with two or more generations. Our primary clients are retired and concerned with growth and income, estate planning, and other family financial issues, or planning for retirement within a ten to twelve year period. What is your investment approach? Our investment approach is considered top down, with an orientation toward value in selecting stock and stock mutual funds. Our focus is first, preservation of capital, second, return equal to the rate of inflation, and third, incremental return consistent with the client`s tolerance for market risk. What is the preliminary process? There are several steps in the investment process:After an initial interview, we do extensive data gathering, identifying risk tolerance, investment objectives, net worth, tax bracket, and other pertinent information. Copies of all brokerage fund and bank statements are reviewed, as well as tax returns. A written investment plan is prepared. This is based on written and verbal material from the initial interview, and recommends an allocation range among stock, bonds and cash or cash equivalents. When the written plan is approved, we review investment selection within each asset class, relying primarily on money market accounts and treasury bills for cash/ cash equivalents, and short to medium term US government treasuries and agencies for the fixed income component. For the equity component, we will recommend either a mutual fund or a portfolio of individual stocks selected for the client. Where are your offices? Our corporate office is located on Bluffton, South Carolina. How are you compensated for your services? If we provide asset management and long term investment services, you pay us an annual charge based upon the size of your portfolio. If you wish us to provide a specific service, such as a written investment plan or estate plan, or asset allocation analysis, we will charge you by the hour or on a per project basis. If you wish us to analyze and recommend investments to you, we can be compensated in the traditional manner of investment brokers, that is, a commission on stocks that we recommend, a markup on bonds, or a fee on annuities and insurance we may recommend. All costs are clearly spelled out and disclosed. We are cost sensitive and don't like hidden charges or fees . What investments do you offer access to?
