Ocracoke Island Realty and Village Realty share the same ownership. Bob Oakes, president of Village Realty and Ocracoke Island Realty, lives in Nags Head with his wife, Sophia, and their two children. He is a Nags Head Commissioner and an active member of many other community organizations, having lived on the Outer Banks for many years. Village Realty manages homes in Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills and Corolla along with the First Colony Inn. Both Village Realty and Ocracoke Island Realty are privately owned companies under local ownership and local management. Our employees live on the islands or not too far away on the mainland. We live here, work here and love it here. In 2006, Ocracoke Island Realty and Sandy Shores Realty merged. Both companies had an outstanding staff so the same friendly faces that you used to see at Sandy Shores and Ocracoke Island Realty are still here. The former Sandy Shores office is our Rental and Sales Office as it is larger. The Maintenance/Housekeeping Office is right next door. Jackie Myers is the General Manager of Ocracoke Island Realty. Jackie is also a Vice President of Village Realty and is a native of Washington, NC, and has lived on the Outer Banks since 1981.
