To further expand it's role in recycling, RAPAC opened Cycle 6, Inc. in Stone Mountain, Georgia in 1992 as a polystyrene recycling center. Later, in 1998, when techniques to densify foam scrap where improved, it was no longer necessary to have a remote location for densifying foam and this operation was moved to the manufacturing plant in Oakland. In late 1992, further utilizing the technology of recycled materials, RAPAC began supplying a 100% recycled loose-fill product. Today, RAPAC is the largest manufacturer of 100% recycled loose-fill in the United States. RAPAC, along with their partner, STOROpack Hans Reichenecker GmbH+Co., own and operate Winpac, SARL in Pavilly, France.
