We are a father son team, Jim Young and Jim Young III, who founded Chief Truck Lines, Inc., in 1989. We are the third and fourth generations of our family to be in the trucking/transportation field. We`re here because we want to be. The company isn`t something we inherited or just another way to make a "buck". Trucking is a family tradition and we`re proud to be a link in America`s supply chain. In fact, we urge you to call and ask for us personally ... you`ll find we are available to you. Following are the standards we agreed to when we started the company. They have been our standards since day one and include: Never lie to a customer. Never promise anything unless there is a reasonable expectation of fulfilling that promise. Be immediately open and frank to inform customers of any delays or problems regarding the timely delivery/pickup of their freight. Always "do" what we say we will "do" when we say we will "do" it. Should carrier performance jeopardize a customer`s position, forego all considerations, including profit, to resolve the dilemma in the customers interest through the unreserved use of Chief`s resources including drivers, trucks, money, and time. Always keep the customer whole. More than 10 years of operating under these standards has resulted in a group of core customers that have shipped through Chief for many years.
