Info

The Oakmore Homes Association, located in Oakland, California is one of the oldest homeowners' organizations in the state and was established in 1926 by real estate developer Walter H. Leimert when the Park Boulevard Company built the Leimert Bridge over Sausal Creek to create the Oakmore Highlands subdivision where homes designed by the area’s noted architects graced the sunny, oak covered hills adjacent to Piedmont, CA and the Montclair district of Oakland, with vistas across the San Francisco Bay to the Golden Gate earning this view the nickname ‘golden windows’.
