East Bay Perinatal is a state-certified Prenatal Diagnosis Center authorized to provide follow-up services for the California State Expanded AFP Program, in conjunction with the Department of Medical Genetics at Children's Hospital of Northern California. We provide the full spectrum of prenatal genetic counseling and procedures, including chorionic villus sampling (CVS), amniocentesis, and percutaneous umbilical blood sampling (PUBS). We were one of the first centers in the Bay Area to be accredited by a recognized national accreditation organization, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), for the performance of obstetrical ultrasound. Our extensive counseling and ultrasound examinations are done by our thoughtful, experienced genetic counselors and sonographers. Our physicians are highly experienced in performing the most difficult of procedures, so you can be assured that any invasive testing is performed by an extremely competent and caring individual.
