Pipe Fabricators, a division of SPS Companies, was started in 1984 to service the fire protection industry. Supplying fabrication and associated products to protect lives and buildings in the Twin Cities metropolitan area remains our core business. Since its establishment, Pipe Fabricators has offered pipe cutting, threading, grooving and welding second to none in the Midwest. Our first location was in St. Louis Park near our parent company headquarters. This location was 10,000 square feet and consisted of only a fabrication shop. In 1993 we expanded our business into a 33,000 square foot facility in New Hope, MN. This larger facility allowed us to begin our transformation from a fabricator to a supplier. In November of 2000 we opened our current location in Maple Grove, MN. This new enhanced facility, 100,000 square feet, was designed to accommodate our growing business and improve our flow of materials. Forty thousand square feet is dedicated to loose material alone. Our larger capacity continues to support our expansion of territory in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. Pipe Fabricators provides product in not only local and regional markets but national markets as well.
