E/The Environmental Magazine was launched in 1990 during a resurgence in public interest in the environment and on the eve of the 20th anniversary of the first Earth Day. Edited for the general reader but also in sufficient depth to appeal to the dedicated environmentalist, E is a "clearinghouse" of information, news and resources on environmental issues and topics. Published by the nonprofit (501-c-3) Earth Action Network, Inc., E is independent of any particular membership organization and has no agenda to promote except that of the very diverse and dynamic environmental movement as a whole.
