LS&S has served the needs of the visually impaired and hard of hearing for over 20 years. In June 2001, LS&S experienced a new beginning, as the husband and wife team of John Bace and Melissa Balbach acquired the company. We were led to the company by our own encounters with low vision. Several years ago, Melissa's father developed the wet form of Macular Degeneration. Living with a family member with low vision and experiencing the related challenges, we realized how important a resource a company like this could be. Since acquiring the business, we have had two goals in mind:Offer products that make a difference, and Provide the best possible customer service. Over the past year, we are proud of the improvements we have made on nearly all aspects of the business in support of these goals. Products that make a difference: We offer products that allow people to continue to live productive, independent lives. In order to find the right products, we constantly listen to customer feedback on products and ideas, and apply that learning to refine our product offering. In addition, we offer large print or cassette instructions for certain products upon request. If there is a product that you are looking for, please let us know.
